“You are a ROCKSTAR!!! This Website is truly amazing. All of your efforts are truly appreciated and shine through your attentiveness to details and creative approach to layout and design. Your coding has taken a great site and made it spectacular! The site has been receiving high praise from many of my peers and partners. My mentor who usually provides very honest feedback had nothing but praise, not one word of constructive criticism other than he only hoped that we were going to "put it out there". This was a critical step in my career as a deco arts photographer and will help to establish my work within the field. Christin and I will miss our daily meetings with you as we were always so excited to see what designs and features you were unveiling. You took a terrifying process and transformed it into something we anticipated and enjoyed. Thank you so much for all of your hard work, creativity, and wonderful easy going personality. ”

We designed a wordmark using a serif font to evoke a timeless aesthetic with a modern twist. The mark is framed within graduating brackets, reminiscent of a camera viewfinder, reflecting our client's expertise in capturing moments with precision and artistry.
The client's favorite color, Meetinghouse Blue, inspired the entire color palette, symbolizing stability and trust. Drawing from eighteenth-century artwork and historic colors of America, the palette was meticulously chosen to resonate with the client's expertise in the decorative arts industry, evoking authenticity and heritage.
We incorporated subtle animations across the website, inspired by camera mechanics. For instance, the logo begins as a blur and gradually focuses in, mirroring the process of adjusting a camera lens.
We implemented hover animations to offer alternate views of decorative arts pieces and a zoom-in effect for fine art paintings, allowing viewers to appreciate intricate details. Our goal was to evoke an elevated ambiance while avoiding traditional formality. These animations add a dynamic and modern touch, enhancing user experience without overwhelming the aesthetic.
To diverge from traditional grid layouts, we opted for a gallery display of the client's published works. This allows users to swiftly navigate through images or opt for a more immersive experience with detailed viewing options via lightbox functionality.
We introduced a horizontal scroll feature reminiscent of a gallery setting also with lightbox functionality.
